Treachery

At the bottom of the well lies the ninth and final layer of hell. This area is an endless frozen lake. Much like the layer of Fraud, this layer is divided into four concentric circles, punishing different types of treachery. Everyone is stuck inside the ice, with different types of burial providing varying levels of pain. In the center is Malsheem, palace of @Asmodeus, Lord of the Nine Hells.
The first ring are those that betrayed their kin, buried to the base of their neck, allowing them to bend it and grant temporary reprieve from the assault of the environment.
The second ring is where people who betrayed their country are found burried to the middle of their necks, unable to move it and forced to forever bear the full brunt of the forces.
The third ring contains those who betrayed their guests. Laying supline in the ice, their tears freeze into their tearducts, preventing them the release of sorrow.
The fourth ring has those who betrayed their deities and greater powers. Buried so far beneath the ice, it is difficult to discern them, but they are forever frozen in contorted and twisted forms while being crushed by the pressure.
In the center of the lake lies Malsheem, personal palace to Asmodeus.
