Teka Maut: Pride Leader of Brille (tek-uh Mao-t)
Devotee of J'bar
Teka Maut took after her father, but began with the ideology that Jei ended with. She also worked closely with J'bar and used her father's home as the start of the construction for "J'bar Kehfri." She was headstrong and never married, though she had three children. Her youngest, who she had at the shockingly old age of 60, succeeded her. Maut further divided social class during her rule and nearly completed the transition to Brille's modern culture.
While she was also good friends with J'bar, she did not know him as well as her father. She saw him as beneficial and their interactions were mostly transactional. As a result of her late childbirth, she lost the use of her legs and had to be carried by her guards for the last 20 years of life. It is because of this that she was crushed by a collapsing "J'bar head doorway" between Lire and Tirni during architectural repairs.
J'barri are considered infertile after the age of 45, so her capability to have a child was considered immaculate. Even stranger, it was her youngest son, Tut'Maut, that ascended to the throne rather than his elder brothers. Much like his grandfather, Tut Maut grew to be good friends with J'bar.
