The establishment of programs to "protect" exceptional Urr that assisted Fjordstrond with various labor-intensive tasks.
After the Urr assisted on the battlefields during the rise of the Augury, the northerners slowly began to shift their opinions on the beastlike people. While commonfolk still trembled in fear at the idea of encountering one of these "demons," those within the ranks of the barony began to realize their value. It was under Baron Yara Smidwerker that a the Urrfolk Ministry was established alongside a public works program that would provide legal protection for any Urr (now officially denoted as "Urrfolk") that served the barony of Fjordstrond. This would eventually bolster Baron Smidwerker's career of robust infrastructure growth, including the construction of Fjordstrond's 3 largest bridges that cross over each of the capital city's fjords. The program still exists today but is often considered Fjordstrond's own unique take on slavery, when they otherwise claim to be the only "free barony."
