Bakaneer
Bakaneer is an island located between the two large continents. It is large and is home to the Bakan Council and the 4.2 million people who are a part of it. The area is around 144,000 km2 and it is common to see a person if you walked a day in any direction. A traveller should prepare for fairly cold winters with rain and hot summers with less rain.
Farming Village that has bad blood with Roma. Most people from it have never seen someone from outside of Bakan. It has a river to the south and is on the Southeastern corner of Bakan.
Stalgrade is the raiding hub for the Bakan Council due to the large beach with a lack of reefs around it. A large mix of raiders and librarians They build rafts and have a large library, though they must be supported with food by the surrounding villages.
At the meeting point of three rivers on the northwest side of Bakaneer. It has the largest population of immigrants out of all of the villages, primarily Sugazeh from the Banded Snakes tribe as they will take to the sea to seek out Bakaneer, having heard stories from Bakans that joined their tribe.
Roma is the most isolated of the large cities in Bakaneer. It sits behind Hannibal's Gate and over a river. It has a large lake providing the area with rich natural resources. In the past they have bullied other nearby areas. Thermopylae was too well defended so they would harass Waterloo. While the formation of the councils has stopped this, the two areas remain uncomfortable with each other.
Being one of the furthest areas from the coast, Thermopylae is less involved in raiding and more involved in internal matters than many other villages. The village has the traditional bamboo architecture with some adjustments due to the abundance of stone they can take from the nearby mountains. Nearby is Hannibal's Gate is the most well known and trafficked path through the ridge of mountains that runs down the centre of Bakaneer. The closest city is Thermopylae who considers it their duty to protect the Gate.

Geography
The island is covered in trees and has a spine of mountains running down the centre. The stone and mountains of the region are naturally brown.
Fauna & Flora
the largest animal in the forests are the boars who can be quite territorial. Sheep are herded but also roam the coastal cliffs. Smaller animals like bees, hedgehogs, snakes and lizards live almost everywhere in the forests. Forest farming takes place of nuts, fruits and herbs which will also grow uncultivated all over the forest and provide a food source for the hedgehogs, sheep and boars.
Natural Resources
Lumber is the primary building material and stone quarrying is rarely done, though often greenstone and some types of quartz are found near the surface and harvested.
