Dost Liberation Movement
The Dost Liberation Movement started as a small group of slaves that had fled Bast into the deserts to the east who then started working together to help free more slaves. Since then they have grown and now have several cities thriving in defiance of Bast.
Structure
The People of Dost exist as city states with a shared goal, to take down the Bast Oligarchy. People who are good at skills will rise up and take command of a task, though their trained subservient nature can make this hard.
Demography and Population
No accurate surveys exist of how many people consider themselves as part of the Dost Liberation Movement, especially as this information can be dangerous to their health. There are many Wretch who consider themselves as part of the Movement, and even some of The First People.
Territories
The Movement claims everything west of the Million Sleeping mountain range, though this does not stop Bast Oligarchy forces from claiming, using or moving though the area.
Military
Slings, hit and run tactics, luring people into mountain passes and dropping boulders on them. Moving quickly through the desert so heavily armoured men cannot keep up. Militia where everyone pulls some duty.
Dost has a smaller military force than Bast and they lack the metal weapons and armour that Bast uses as all of their stolen metal is sold to Al Renya for other, more vital goods. Instead they rely on hit and run tactics and using landslides to take out Bast troops. Entering camps as slaves and then leading an assault from inside is another popular tactic.

Agriculture & Industry
Imported food from Al Renya is one of the main ways the Movement survives, though goats and other livestock are raised around the green edges.. Floodplain farming occurs near the long rivers for couscous which is a staple of their diet. In the more extreme areas they have learnt to prepare desert animals such as scorpions to eat.
Trade & Transport
They run raiding parties on the mining operations of the Bast Oligarchy. In these operations they free slaves and steal ore and sell it to the Renyan Unitary . These underhanded dealings and the insistence of Bast that Dost is still owned by them keep Al Renya as a neutral third party.
Education
Education is given by the elders to groups, either children or escaped slaves. These groups are open to any to join and will focus on different skills each day, individuals can attend whatever days they need for any skills they need.
