Seiran Dyrae
Seiran Dyrae means Mossy Keep in an unknown language that was found on a plaque in the building. While the moss has been mostly stripped from the castle the name kept. The keep sits in the center of the inside crescent of the forest of Alk Deyna and is a central area for the kingdom of Al Renya. The building is a tall keep repaired from a ruin, it still bears scars from whatever brought it into disrepair in the first place, but few have punctured the hard, bright stone.
Good roads make travel from the keep to any part of the kingdom quick and easy. Around Seiran Dyrae many towns have sprung up consisting of services the Dyrae needs and trades that use the resources of the marsh. The Seiran Dyrae region is much less prosperous than Alk Rennar but is sustained by payment from the king to the army and then back to the homes there.
Purpose / Function
The original purpose of the keep is lost, most of the inside was completely stripped away when Al Renya claimed it, including any floors or walls it may have had inside.
The keep now serves as the base of operations for the Wood Knights who defend Al Renya. The lower floors act as barracks, then above them are training rooms and finally administration happens above those. Small sleeping chambers for the higher ranks sit within the admin areas, along side halls of records.
Alterations
The entrance was originally much smaller but something shattered the stone, leaving a ruined gaping wound where a door should be. Over time this was replaced with a wooden portcullis.
The inside walls and floors have been completely rebuilt out of wood in a modern but practical style. Few decorations adorn the wood. The middle training room floors contain areas for sword practice as well as long galleries for archery.
Architecture
While most of the rock in Al Renya is a light coloured rock, the base of Seiran Dyrae is a darker rock which isn't found in the land.
