Southern Montihume
The area is well known for it's castles, built to stop sea based raiders and more recently to provide a safe haven from raids coming from the Sugazeh Tribes.
The outer ring has farms located inside the walls. As the area has become a harder place to raid some of the farms have leaked out into the surrounding area. The homes of the lower ring are flat in the plains style, this lets defenders with missile weapons a place to stand and attack from - stairs leading to the roof are common because of this. Stone is the most common building material with wood being reserved for reinforcing large inner ring structures.
Circle Keep
One of the most prominent settlements in the Stone Hills, Circle Keep is frequently raided due to easy access to the beach. Because of this it has a strong defensive foundation. Circle Keep gets its name from the rings of walls that extend out around it. There is one around the original small fort, a second at the base of the hill it stands on and one further out. Each wall has been adapted with arrow slits and broad paths to allow cavalry charges in and out.The outer ring has farms located inside the walls. Wellstone
A large city in the Stone Hills. It is well known for its hospitals that are open to anyone. The city does have defenses but they are lacking compared to many others in the region, relying on good will to stay safe. It has schools for healers to train and large medical wards. Different districts focus on different medical techniques, the southern area, below the hill proper is the sick zone. Surgery is in the central region and the northern region is an administration and entrance area.Geography
The land is a series of rolling fertile hills from the frequent light rains, between the hills are often quarries that mine the black stone in the area.
Lost Sister and Gaping Mouth
A story goes that a woman was separated from her family when they ascended in the old times. Instead of becoming a god she was seen by the Gaping Mouth. The Gaping Mouth chased her across time and space, stopping her from joining her family. She returned to being a normal human but the Mouth found her. Eventually she had to turn herself into water to escape, the Gaping Mouth followed her into this state. It didn't realise it couldn't move like this now they are locked together.
The Gaping Mouth
A fjord that lies in southern Montihume. It is the largest of the two fjords and a great place to gather clay.Lost Sister
Lost Sister is located in the eastern part of the Stone Hills, It is smaller than the Gaping Mouth which lies to the east of it. It is known for the many species of birds that live in the area.Fauna & Flora
Around the fjords many different plants grow. Carrots and cabbage are the main agricultural crops used.
Natural Resources
Clay can be found in the fjords and much of the area has stone quarries around it, which will rarely lead to a vein of metal.
