The Titan Wall was created by the Giants through the forcing of magma into a channel. Once cooled, the earth was pushed away, leaving the twenty-foot high wall of solid glass that still stands today between the Savage Lands and City-States Region.
In whispered tones are legends spoken
Early days of the world dreamed of
The world was given form
In the hands of titans borne
Until their lands shattered and into darkness they fell
The Titan Wall was created by the Giants through the forcing of magma into a channel. Once cooled, the earth was pushed away, leaving the twenty-foot high wall of solid glass that still stands today between the Savage Lands and City-States Region.
The Giants had molded the world into order through use of powerful magical devices. These constructions held back the primordial elemental chaos that had existed prior to their rise. Sadly, a surge in elemental forces found a slight weakness in the web of order created by the giants, and caused it to shatter. Bursting through with dozens of eruptions and other disasters, the cataclysm was centered upon the volcano which remains today as the Shattered Peak in the center of The Great Plateau.
As elder magic beings soared
From the soil did mortals rise
Seeking out a hearth and home
Building up wall and farm
And spreading, their arms wide
The creation of The Seven Virtues as a codified concept, under the guidance of the first Emperor of the Eastern shores of Lasair
The first of three events that ended the Dragonscourge, the floating Elven city of Lumine was brought crashing to the ground by action by three powerful Sorcerers. The release of magical energy caused by the fall off the city scoured the land in the northern part of the Empire and what would become known as The Desolation.
The second of three cataclysmic events that brought the Dragonscourge to an end, Drake's Fall was the name given to the destruction of the most powerful Lord of Dragonkind. The magics unleashed in the battle between dragons and Elven wizards and by the final fall of the shadow dragon utterly devastated the land below leaving a mark in The Desolation that still stands to this day.
The final strike of the Dragonscourge, as one of Lasair's moons was shattered. One of its shards was then pulled from orbit and dragged down upon the lands of the Empire. This strike ended the war, wiping out the Empire and forming The Desolation.
With jealousy did drakes look down
Fearing what mortals may take
Flame and fang descended to strike
Aelf wisdom and mortal sword
Did rise to fight for life and home
After the devastation wrought upon their population during the Dragonscourge, the scattered Elves found there was little holding their culture together. Rather than working to reestablish their limited numbers by grouping together in new cities, the different castes instead scattered across Lasair, finding new homes within the forests, waters, and other hidden places within the continent. Over the subsequent centuries the magical nature of the Elves has caused them to to diverge more and more from each other in appearance and attitude, shattering into what now can almost be considered many different peoples rather than a single sentient species.
The first of the two largest cities in the future City-States is founded upon the shores of the Lasair River.
The warehousing and industrial districts of Kolar declare that they have grown large enough to constitute their own city. After a brief military skirmish, the two cities agree to the division. They form a strong economic partnership that continues to this day.
World sundered by war
Drake felled; aelf scattered
Darkness again settled
But mortals showed their strength
And from ruin did stand once more
The ratification of the Lasair Compact , forming the foundation of stability and security within the City-States Region .
