Constjon Gavi
Patriarch Constjon Gavi
Constjon was an extremely devout Christian and patriarch of The Orthodox Church and was very well respected, smart, and influential in theology and culture during his time. He was born in a small town outside of Lardmost and eventually moved into the city when he got older to study and work. He worked hard and defended the church from heresy and wrote a lot and promoted the separation of the church institution from the state, but not the separation of church tradition from the state. He wanted the church to be culturally rooted, and when Zuor was to be crowned king, Constjon wanted to be at his coronation and influence it. However, King Zuor wanted no church influence and banned him and his bishops from coming. When Zuor had the throne, he stripped the church of its power and influence and promoted The Var Church which was an offshoot of the original to servethe government. Constjon was deeply angered by this and tried to continue his work. One day, soldiers told him he couldn't go into his church at Lardmost and was going to be restricted and watched by the government for his beliefs. Constjon protested this by openly speaking out against the Dynasty, writing papers, and preaching. He didn't back down and continued protesting in the name of his religion, so as a result of this, he was arrested and later beheaded in Lardmost for all to see.
In the wake of his death, many across the world were angered by the killing of such a great man. His followers were persecuted and killed after his death as well, and in death he and those who died with him were viewed as martyrs.
