The Raid Of The North
The Raid Of The North was a huge collective raid and individual skirmishes conducted by the military of The Salican Dynasty on Ral during the The Ral War in the year 1922. In the attack, troops of The Dynasty attacked at multiple points in the northern Ral territory, all attack points were directed at Ral outposts and camps. Battles on Ral previous to the raid were common, but what made this collective attack so infamous was its coordination on a similar date, high death count, and the death of Ral's current chairman at the time, Derek Guy.
Derek was the main reason why the raid happened in the first place. Days prior, he came to the main Ral camp in the north to show his support for the troops there and to speak with important leaders on The Ral War in the north near The Salican Dynasty. Unfortunately for him The Dynasty got wind he was near their territory and quickly knew that they had a chance in killing the chairman along with many other important people. King Zuor made sure the attack happened and the military across the southern Dynasty was rallied together quickly and attacked the camps along the border at once. Derek and his forces were killed along with many others on that day, but The Salican Dynasty wasn't without its loses as well. Their military sustained heavy loses due to how quickly they attacked without proper, more strategic, longer, and safer plans of attack. The Dynasty lost many that day, but it still was their victory, even though it was a costly one.
This conflict led to the overall downfall of Ral's territory to the north.
