"The rat mercs are siblings. Paul with the sword and Vignet with the maul. They seem dry and have a slight smell of alcohol when you speak to them thus the conversation is rather short. You learn a little more about them when talking with the snake and frog. They have worked with them before, apparently. Apparently they are ex criminals that decided that heroes have a better life and started adventuring with the goal of getting the same fame as heroes. Vignet is a druid while Paul's battle class is unknown to them. They know however that he is very stealthy. Shadow Ride - He can travel himself or on his mount between shadows as if by means of a dimension door spell. Such supernatural transport must begin and end in an area with at least some shadow. He can ride up to a total of 50 feet per his level per day in this way. The amount can be split up among many rides, but rides of a distance shorter than 25 feet count as 25 feet.
