Red Crown
Also known as "Red Cap Kings". These are a rare creation of the Red Cap curse, where they are bound to a crown to collect blood with. Several known instances of this subspecies modify their crowns to have a bowl to carry the blood of their victims. They also have the unique ability to keep the blood on their crowns from coagulating. Normally, this would mean they would not need to kill as much as their lower cousins to stay alive. However, this ability tends to attract multitudes of other Red Caps to mooch an easy source of fresh blood for their headgear. This isn't necessarily a bad thing for the Red Crown as they gain the services of the weaker goblins, who work as bodyguards, scouts, hunters, and "knights".

Social Structure
Red Crowns are the only creatures who can organize Red Caps into a social structure. The Red Crown is, of course, the leader and organizes raids to hunt and gather bleeders to keep themselves and the group alive. Red Caps that have proven their worth by collecting the largest quantities are given the titles of "knights" by the Red Crown and are sent out to act on behalf of them. They also get a larger share of blood they gain from the crown and are treated with more respect than the others. Other Red Caps are treated like like commoners by the crown and are considered expendable nuisances.

Red Crowns have access to a lot of medieval weaponry in their lairs. Sometimes they may have available torture devices to squeeze a few extra drops.

It is often good manners for someone's head to be lower than the Red Crown. Many who violate this end up being shorter.
