But we do not take in brutes. This is not a military, this is the Yakuza! We need brains to back up those brawns. Creativity to match the skill. Each of our members is as respected as the captain, and they are all as useful as the next.
We offer rewards for those who deserve them. Contests and monthly give-a-ways to keep the moral up. As well as a relaxed environment for everyone to relax in. Some of our members are avid adventurers and do that in their free time. We offer important quests for experienced members to enjoy themselves.
Each of the Vice Captains knows the Captain personally, and follow his orders to the letter. We have a safe guild with no internal affairs to get in the way. The leader and creator is Leon J. Loire, chief adviser is Nemutai, Iroi Yuramoto and Cloud run the combat faction, and Veriduin runs the public relations section.

Captain Rank. This would be Leon. He has the final say in inviting and banning members. He has complete trust in his vice captains, and they have just as much power as him. The difference is that they also run many Yami Yakuza factions outside of the main guild.
Vice Captain. Vice Captains are Leon's eyes and ears. Each vice captain has his or her own job. And most likely if you got invited to the guild, its because of one of them. They are vice captains because Leon has complete trust in there abilities to keep things running smoothly. He has also known each of these people in person and they have done many things to deserve this title.
Crew. Crew serve as assistants to vice captains in the field they know or do best. A crew member is one who has earned a high level of trust and respect. Crew have established themselves here, become known, are often present, and have been a member of the Yami Yakuza for some time.
Member. Members are the blood of this guild. A members job is simply to scope out the place and make sure its right for you, leaving will not cause anyone here to hold a grudge to you. All you got to do is have fun and do what you want, as long as you follow guild guidelines and report present when required.

A piercing is basically a notable favor that you have done for a lower ranking member. If you help out someone below you, even if it is outside the guild. You can ask them to tell Leon or one of the vice captains about it, and a piercing will be awarded.
A tattoo is awarded for helping out a higher ranking member than you. Same thing as a piercing, you can ask them to tell Leon or one of the vice captains about it and they will give out tattoos as a reward. Once you get enough tattoo, you are awarded a body tattoo. With that, comes a monetary reward or an item of the same price.
Now the bad part. If you do something that violates the rules, you will have a fingertip removed. Once five fingertips are removed, the leaders of the guild will discuss and vote on your banning. You can gain a fingertip back in place of getting a tattoo, however that particular action must be run through Leon. A higher ranking member above you can volunteer to have his finger removed in place of yours if he or she pleases.

Culture

Yami Yakuza is generally considered a Good guild. They mainly take on and distribute contracts and quests that help people and benefit the guild. They take care of their own and seek prosperity for the people living under their influence.

Public Agenda

Yami Yakuza is a guild that also rules over a town and a considerable territory around it. As such it is clear with everyone with their intentions: To make Osham the best place to live and Yami Yakuza the best guild in the world. The second goal is already accomplished.

I will not disclose any secrets of my brothers or the Yami Yakuza. I will never betray my sworn brothers or cause them harm of any kind. I will not get involved with a brother’s loved ones. I will not steal from one of my sworn brothers or the Yami Yakuza. I will treat allies of the Yami Yakuza and allies of the individual brothers as if they were my allies. If I leave the Yami Yakuza, I will not release my secrets to my next family. I will not assist in aiding an attack on the Yami Yakuza or my sworn brothers. I will not blame my sword brothers for my actions. I will not promote myself without authority. Upon joining I must forget any wrong doings the Yami Yakuza or its members have caused me or anyone I know. Not all of the guilds assets are publicly known but the public records state:

Troops: Yami Yakuza has 114 members at the moment this is written. This includes the Captain, 4 vice captains and 10 crew members. They also command the guards of Osham which number 200 including officers.
Weapons: 300 swords, 143 clubs and maces, 250 katanas, 56 axes, 98 pole weapons, 14 staves, 159 spellcasting focuses and mage weapons, 238 bows and crossbows, 30 guns, 108 weapons of various kinds (whips, blowguns, etc).
Armor: 112 medium armors, 70 shields, 222 light armors, 48 heavy armors
Magical items: The guild possesses approximately 80 magical armors and shields as well as approximately 200 magical weapons of various kinds and around 200 magical items of various kinds (orbs of light, self writing quills, bags of holding, etc) Some items of note are: Rain Dragon, Bow of the royal stag, Evil Dragon Greatsword, Alcehmy Jug, Yami Yakuza Katana,

History

First off, allow me to explain why the guild is named Yami Yakuza. Yami, meaning shadow or dark in a foreign language, and Yakuza, a guild of the same foreign nation. Interpret as you may, but the YamiYakuza is essentially the Shadow Guild of Lavir. We support one another and protect our fellow Yakuzians.
WHY YAKUZA?
The term "Yakuza" comes from a card game, Oicho-Kabu, and means "good for nothing". The worst hand in the game is a set of eight, nine and three, which gives a sum of 20 and a score of 0.
In traditional forms of counting of the foreign land where this comes from, these numbers are called Ya (eight), Ku (nine) and Sa (three) respectively, thus the origin of the word "yakuza". The yakuza took this name because the Ya-Ku-Za hand requires the most skill and, obviously, the least luck in order to win. The name was also used because it signified bad fortune for anyone who went up against the group.
Now for a back story on the guild and how it became.
The original Yami Yakuza is a guild on another world, Maple. Leon J. Loire lived in that world for a while under the name of Yahiko Sensei. One night he saw a poster on the message board. The poster stated that anyone who is looking for someone to marry, to come to the marriage party in the free market place. Yahiko Sensei was near a portal to the free market and decided to go, if anything for cheap entertainment. However, he met a girl who went by the name of Sousuko. She was there for the same reasons as him, and they became friends. They had got along nicely for a while. And eventually, they got married. He was guild less at the time, and she was the leader of the guild Yami Yakuza. So, Yahiko Sensei joined and instantly became a second in command.
After a couple of months, the guild had expanded and became very active. Yahiko Sensei was under the influence that he got married for quest purposes, and did not bother to advance the relationship. However, she got married for a different reason. She became angry that Yahiko Sensei showed no interest in her, and that he did not seem to care that she was gone for a month. She wanted him to be a tough guy that would fight for this pathetic excuse for a relationship. She did not like the fact that he was kind person who rarely got angry. They got divorced the day she returned from her month off. But due to his apathetic nature, he did not care too much.
The next day Yahiko Sensei quit the guild, fearing that the tension between him and her would cause the rest of the guild trouble. He quit the guild very late at night, leaving no messages as to why. He wanted to make sure that nobody was present at the time. A couple of days went by and people stared to contact him asking why he left. He did not want them to worry, and told them that he was no longer needed. Yahiko Sensei was always a bit of a loner, so saying they believed him. Some of the other high ranking members of the guild even sent him their messengers so that they could keep in touch. During his time off, he helped out a couple of other guilds, and even planned on making one himself. He was indeed a loner, but he was a great leader as well. At times, he even thought about destroying the Yami Yakuza. He even had a full plan on doing so.
But one day after work, he was talking to one of his friends in the Yami Yakuza. He had mentioned that the girl going under the name Squirrel Star took his leaving hard, And that she had cared deeply for him. He had to make sure of this. So he tracked her down and went to her. He found her waiting for a train in Orbis. But he couldn't just approach her, he needed a plan. So he walked over to what would be the side of her vision and acted like he was waiting for the train as well. He acted as if he didn't notice her, and started carrying out other conversations with other adventurers. When she saw who it was, she approached him in excitement. So they got to talking, and it turns out she really did take his leaving hard. Yahiko Sensei was surprised, but needed time to process this information before making his next move.
A couple weeks later he decided to rejoin the Yami Yakuza after Squirrel Star asked him to. Everyone was delighted at his return, they showered him with items, equipment, and other valuables. He figured that he would at least start his plan to destroy the Yami Yakuza, and change it later if need be. After a week or so, a couple of the other girls in the guild began pestering Yahiko Sensei. They told him to ask Squirrel Star to marry him, since they seemed to believe she felt that way about him. But he did not want to fall into this situation again, so he ran. He ran down many floors in Orbis Tower. But the girls chased him, and following the girls was Squirrel Star. Yahiko Sensei's Haste spell was a decent level at the time, but Squirrelstar's Telaport was much better. She soon caught up with him near the ground floor of Obis Tower.
Yahiko Sensei considered vanishing, but that would only prove that he was a coward. So, he took the situation head on. And after much talk, he began to realize that she was not like Sousuko. She was smarter, more considerate, and she cared for him more than anyone else in the guild. He had previously made a wedding ring having no intention to remarry. But the ring would not leave his possession. So, he took this as a sign, and decided to ask Squirrel Star to marry him. She of course accepted.
They married soon afterward. They were given with gifts and it was just an all around good day for everyone. Within the next month, YahikoSensei was named the most popular person in the guild despite the fact that he became a traitor. But then he was projected to another world, and he became separated from them. And in his time off, he began to think. Why bother trying to destroy the guild from the inside, when he could create his own! But not on Maple, you can not be a part of more then one guild on Maple. But then he remembered Lavir. It would be much easier to make and run a guild there. So, he would make the Lavir Yami Yakuza! The Yami Yakuza would then be a part of another area of the multiverse.

After establishing the guild Leon recruited his vice captains, crew and members. Some of them were from the world he came from, others from Lavir. They started to establish relations and do quests. During the Age of terror their opposition to tyrants and other villains didn't go unnoticed. Gaining influence is hard for a guild that tries to do good when all the influential people are evil. Eventually they encountered the Heroes who ended the Age of Terror. Leon took liking to them and they became allies. Yami Yakuza participated in most battles to end the age of terror. Their most significant battle was to free Osham from Kauton's tyrannical rule. The habitants of the town expressed their desire to be ruled over by Yami Yakuza. Thus the guild acquired their headquarters.
After the end of the age of terror Osham led by Yami Yakuza was recognized as an independent territory.
So he made the guild, gathered some followers, and lived the dream. He still runs the guild under the name of Leon J. Loire.

Territories

Yami Yakuza holds reign over the city of Osham and its surrounding lands including most of the jungle. It takes around 17 days to travel from one end of the territory to the other.

Military

Yami Yakuza is almost completely comprised of combat capable individuals.
Leon J. Loire and his captains are in charge of the whole guild and its troops. 
The troops are organized in 5 main groups.

• Warrior regiment (includes all melee combatants)
• Mage Division (includes all casters except for support ones)
• Healers (includes all support/healing troops)
• Shinobi (Includes all stealth centered troops)
• Archers (Includes all ranged troops)

As a 6th group there are also Guards that watch over the city at all times

Technological Level

Osham is fairly well developed maindly due to Yami Yakuza. The leaders of the guild have imported multiple Outertech improvements.

Foreign Relations

Yami Yakuza as a guild has contacts and close relations with all the major organizations and kingdoms. They are first go to option when any of the countries need things to be done that they can't take care of themselves. Adventure quests, military missions, information gathering, assassination, peacekeeping and so on, are all requests that other nations send towards Yami Yakuza. 
As a nation Osham is part of international treaty and as such participates in the financing of ITA and application of the laws of international treaty. 
They keep diplomatic contact with other nations, especially with Kingdom of Kauton and Kingdom of Matis with whom they also share trade routes.

Education

Education in Osham is available to everyone. And the basic education is mandatory. Osham's education is not merely concerned with giving formal knowledge, rather it aims at the complete development of the personality of an individual. It provides him with all-round development so that he becomes capable to face any challenges in life and also harnesses inner potential for social betterment.

Infrastructure

Osham possesses one of the few sewer systems of the world.
A water treatment plant ensures that the water from the river arrives to the citizens of Osham in top quality.
The main guild hall of Yami Yakuza serves also as the main seat of government. Though there is also a smaller town hall for more everyday needs.
The town is surrounded by a sturdy wall made by Yami Yakuza after acquiring the town.

Although mainly relying on services provided by the guild to other countries as a money of exchange they also trade other minor goods. The main ones exported being fish and exotic animals and their meet as well as some wood.

There are no main imports as they are mostly self-sufficient.

Legislative Body

The laws are mainly decided and written by Yami Yakuza. There members of community that aren't part of Yami Yakuza that also participate in the legislative meetings, thus providing the necessary input from the citizens.

Judicial Body

The Captain of the guard is who decides if the crime is minor and some jailtime is enough or if the matter needs to be brought to the attention of the guild.
It is a high ranked member of Yami Yakuza who serves as a judge in cases where guild needs to interfere. In particularly important cases Leon fills the position of judge himself.

Executive Body

Although the guild is ever-present in the town and helps to protect it and enforce the law when needed, it is mainly the guards who do the job.
The guards survey the town and have authority to temporarily imprison any lawbreaker.
