Zombie
"Ever tried putting on your old clothes and found them to be too tight? That's what it's like to come back as those shamblers." - Gustaf Bergin, Gravekeeper.
The most common undead. One naturally becomes a zombie if they die from sickness. Zombies are a result of souls returning to their bodies as opposed to becoming spirits. Due to the body going through rigor mortis and rot, the process of reanimation becomes described as "half-baked" and what rises is little more than an organic machine. Zombies are not capable of thought, only having the basic functions of movement, bipedal coordination, and vocal sounds (moans, groans, wails, etc.). They are easily manipulated by suggestions and basic mind control. Powerful individuals with good leadership skills or a few mind-based spells can use them as obstacles for intruders in various dungeons or burial sites.
