Powers of the Lord General Militarum Goriae:
The Lord General Militarum Goriae always has a +10 bonus to any test pertaining to commanding, organising and strategising Imperial Guard forces.
Otherwise, he has (3) Political Influences - Astra Militarum Goriae, 2 Political Influence (Departemento Munitorium), and 1 political Influence (Navis Imperialis Goriae).
Sector-wide conscription: In case of a developping force threathening the sector, the Lord General Militarum Goriae may order an elite fast-responding conscription. This will grand him a number of CS55 units composed of Veteran (40) and Mainline Battle Tanks (15). Each unit will be manifested on each sub-sector capital and be ready to be deployed. However, this costs 1D5 influence each downtime. This maybe called upon up to the starting influence bonus of the Lord Militant prior to the beginning of the conflict.
The Lord General Militarum Goriae is the overall Astra Militarum commander of the Gorian Sector and surrounding areas and protectorates.
Requirements
Being already of Marhall Militarum rank in one of the Sub-Sector, or having commanding and political experience justifying the posting.
Appointment
The Lord General Militarum Goriae is supported in his nomination by the Lord Sector Goriae and recognised and named by Astra Militarum Segmentum Obscurus High Command.
Duties
Protect the realms of the Imperium in the Emperor's ground wars.
Responsibilities
Coordination with the Navis Imperialis Goriae, the private military forces of the sector and the political ramifications of the Senatorum Goriae. The Lord General Militarum Goriae also coordinate and signs demands and requirements towards the Departemento Munitorium.
The Lord General Militarum Goriae command all imperial forces and have overall theatre command of any grand forces be they private or Imperial in the sector. He also has to coordinate with other commander militants from other sectors in case of a multisector military action.
Accoutrements & Equipment
The Lord General is free to chose the military clothing he wants to war. They will generally be of his former military association.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Commissars of the Officio Praefectus from the Departemento Munitorium, Judges and Marshalls of the Adeptus Arbites, the Lord Sector Goriae or the Segmentum Obscurus can remove the Lord General Militarum Goriae if he is incomptent, acting cowardly or lacking in the abilities and actions to ensure the survival of the sector.
History
The posting of the Lord General Militarum Goriae has been one frought with intercenine conflict and political wrestling for generations until the Gorian Civil War where Lord Sector Alexel Septimus Gorich finally united any political factions under his iron fist.
Before that, expeditionnary forces from both the Dryaedes and the Calixis Sector in the Gorian Protectorate acted on their own volition, without clear link and orders from Segmentum Command, and saw the sector's defences to be frictious at best, in open warfare at worst.
Notable Holders
Exactim Ullanios was the Imperial Guard Commander of the Gorian Sector. His greatest achievement was to unite the Imperial Forces to quell the Surepar Candidacy revolts prior to the Gorian Civil War. He was killed during the Siege of Jenkin's Last Hope by (REDACTED) to further the military actions of the Second Order.
During the Gorian Civil War, Lord General Militarum Xander Ixios was able, with help from the Partehan Dynasty, to obtain organise special personnal armies that he could deploy rapidly against any evolving threat while waiting for reinforcements of the Imperial Guard. Lord General Militarum Xander Ixios died of an alleged warp drive incident after his victorious command of the Synodian Depth defence against ork reavers.
