The Lord Magistrate Goriae is the relative equivalent of a Prime Minister in the Senatorum Goriae. Working closely with the Lord Sector and reducing his responsibilities in the civil governance of the Gorian Sector\Protectorate, the Lord Magistrate is by himself a powerful individual as he has attained this position through both personnal resourcefulness and influence over many stratas of the sector's politics.   While mostly seen as a puppet role to quiet those contesting Alexel's legitimacy as both Lord Sector and Lord Inquisitor Goriae, the work of the Lord Magistrate is gigantic and pivotal into keeping the Senatorum Goriae working.

Qualifications

The Lord Magistrate Goriae must be able to sift through datas, proposals and hopeful policies as well as candidatures and potential members of the Senate to select which are the best possible for the sake of the entire Gorian Sector\Protectorate.

Appointment

The Lord Magistrate Goriae is selected and named by the Lord Sector\Protector Goriae. He is often named under proposition by the Senatorum Goriae.

Duties

The Lord Magistrate must do whatever possible to ensure that the Gorian Senate is working to its best effects and is a place where the interests of the Gorian Sector and the Imperium comes first.

Responsibilities

The Lord Magistrate is tasked with investigating, selecting and discovering new candidates to operate in the Gorian Sector, coordinate the Senatorum Goriae members' actions towards the goals set by the Lord Sector and determine the senate meetings' content and accept or deny policy proposals.   Finally, the Lord Magistrate must have the personal resources necessary to enforce the decisions resulting from his authority.

Benefits

The Lord Magistrate is the right-hand man of the Lord Sector Goriae and, as such is, officially at least, politically the second most powerful individual of the Gorian Sector\Protectorate.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The Lord Magistrate Goriae is removed by the will of the Lord Sector\Protector Goriae.

History

The Lord Magistrate Goriae was created by Lord Sector Goriae Septimus Gorich as both a way to reduce the enormous amount of responsabilities that he had as both Lord Sector Goriae and Lord Inquisitor Goriae and to settle some unrest that the combination of those both powers created.

Cultural Significance

To many, the Lord Magistrate Goriae is just a show of smoke and mirrors as the Lord Sector Goriae is still the all-powerful leader he is. However, many also see the Lord Magistrate as a perfectly legitimate occasion of limiting the Lord Sector's powers.
