Elan inherited this land from Sir Daind de Stratford, the grandfather that had more desire to hire mercenaries than ride to battle himself. Hell, some even claim that Moira ferch Daind was given to Sir Cafannan when Daind could not pay him for services rendered in combat. This stigma has followed Elan around for years, even in the years that he squired for Sir Jareth ap Beorn . This also causes him to avoid court in Sarum, prefering to settle his issues at courts in the manors and hundreds.
