Midor (Mid-ore)
The nation of hammer, and anvil. The nation of Theorium, the nation of dwarves. Stepping through a dwarven gate, into one of their mountain homes is like stepping into another realm entirely.
Culture
Everything looks like a nail. This is a nation of raging forges, and falling hammers. There's always a project to be made. Always wealth to acquire.
Public Agenda
The dwarves of Midor seek to stoke their forges and expand their fortune. There is never enough. So long as there is space in their hold, there is a possibility for acquisition.
Assets
Midor is the wealthiest nation in Eternity. Every city in the mountains has enough gold to build a palace out of.
History
They (like all nations) forged their nations in the first years of the first age. The dwarven refugees traveled to the distant mountains of the eastern landmass. There they discovered the material that would define their forges. They discovered Theorium. Since then, they have trade ties with every nation in Eternity.
Demography and Population
Most of the inhabited mountains are in the northern portion of the mountain range, as it is close to their capital Mt. Theose
Territories
Midor engulfs most of the eastern landmass as they've claimed the entire mountain range that spans north, to south.
Religion
They share the common consensus regarding where they come from as people. They (like all people groups) believe that they were made by Deos. Though stories, and song, they all remember, and borderline worship the one who gave them Purpose.
Foreign Relations
Their foreign relations consist mostly of the theorium trade. They collect massive wealth in this market as they are the sole providers of the substance. They fight very few wars, and mostly don't forge alliances with others.
Laws
Other than the obvious, there is one key difference. No matter what profession a dwarf pursues, they must know their way around a forge. Not to teach one's children how to work the forge is a punishable offence.
Agriculture & Industry
They do have farms, and such. The true industry of Midor lies is the forges. Forging, then trading theorium is what drives Midor as a nation.
Trade & Transport
They will trade theorium with every nation, and culture, and receive all sorts of wealth. everything from gold, and precious gems to real recourses and building materials.
Education
Every dwarf knows how to work a forge. Outside of thet, they only know enough to survive, and grow as an individual.
Infrastructure
There are underground tunnels that connect each mountain city with the others. All water is gathered from the top of the mountains, as snow, and brought to the heat of the forges to thaw, and cleanse. All water is stored in a separate portion of the mountain and is fed by gravity to the cities. Every city has a separate chamber to secure all subjects if an army breaches the gates.
