Áliahia, the Defender of Families, is the daughter of Lirúlinis and Inivél in the Pantheon of the Dawn. When she was born, her mother bestowed her with the powers and the right to protect the families of mortals, aiding them with fertility and childbirth. Áliahia is renowned as the mother of the great heroes who had played a pivotal role in the history of the alcheni and the development of their civilisation. Her most successful mortal child, Alécia Riannan, had established one of the mightiest realms to exist on Lethean soil, the Imperium of Qerthéllnaval.

According to ancient tales that date back to a period before the alchen migration to Lethea, Áliahia was a god who loved seeing the effects she had on people up close. She would often disguise herself in mortal form and assist families struggling to stay together or women going through difficult pregnancies. As the daughter of the goddess of love, she too had a loving heart, which at times got the better of her, causing her to fall in love with mortal men and women. 
As the defender of families, she avoided getting caught up with those already in relationships and when the first of her own entanglements resulted in pregnancy, she fully committed to her partner until death did them apart. Being immortal, Áliahia has had plenty of time to get through several lifelong commitments. It’s unknown how many mortal children she has had and if all of them ended up extraordinary individuals such as Qerthéllnaval Alécia Riannan.
