Jhod Kavken is a wandering cleric of Erastil and hunter, originally from Galt, who was drawn to the Stolen Lands by a vision from his god.

General Physical Condition
A man in his late middle age Jhod is non the less still in fairly good shape owing no doubt to his years of travel and outdoor lifestyle. But his hair is going to balding and is slightly portly.

Personal history
Originally a village priest in his homeland of Galt, Jhod helped to form a lynch mob against a traveler suspected of being a werewolf that had been terrorizing the area recently, killing several locals. Unfortunately, the suspicions were not correct, and a few hours later, a hunter caught the actual culprit, a worg. The church of Erastil investigated the incident and sanctioned Jhod for his role in the lynching; he was saved from excommunication only by the fact that the executed man was found to have been a bandit spy. Accepting the reduced sentence of exile, Jhod traveled up the Sellen to Numeria and then to Brevoy, where he had a vivid dream about a ruined temple of Erastil guarded by an angry, giant bear. Feeling a compulsion to head south, he ended up at Oleg's Trading Post, where he heard word of adventurers with a charter to explore the Stolen Lands, whom he thought might be able to help him find the lost temple of his vision.
In restoring the lost temple he rediscovered Erastil's grace and was restored to full cleric status. With the founding of Libris and his duties as high priest of the fledgeling queendom he found many oportunities to mentor and provide guidance to the brave settlers. His calm and fatherly attitude much endeared him to the populace especially when he fought against the plague in 4710 which so afflicted the new settlement of Talons Rest.
In the early hours of the 28th of Arodus Jhod was woken, like most of the people of Talons Rest, by the thuderous crash as the southern wall was breached. Leaping from his bed Jhod joined the defenders in facing off against The Beast. And indeed those who witnessed the battle agreed that it was largely the divine fire of Erastil called down to smite The Beast that ultimately drove it from the city. But before being driven off Jhod was cut down; giving his life for the community he so loved.
