Teles Ahvoste
Born and raised in the magocracy of Halruaa, Teles has always been comfortable around magic but also understands its inherent dangers.
Teles is a human archmage and one of the eight Great Readers of Candlekeep. She has tremendous expertise in magic items, curses, and the Weave. Teles is a a red-headed woman, appearing to be in her late forties and just showing the signs of aging. She is very well put together and is most often wearing robes of a powder blue satin which are always clean and pressed. Teles possesses a profound intellect and is exasperated moderately easily. She was raised in Halruaa.
Teles is interested in continuing to climb the ranks of the Readers to First Reader and, eventually, Keeper of Tomes. Her idea of assembling the Agents of Candlekeep is based on the belief that if the venture goes off successfully, it will aid in her rise. She is also genuinely concerned with the security of Candlekeep, which she worries is becoming more susceptible to threats. Teles trusts Moxie to handle things and is usually hands off, but she will express interest in missions that involve areas in which she is interested.
