Horror at Elder Station, Part 2: Foreman Romero
General Summary
No time for introductions! Bryan Brynalds, Tony Smith, and Wumbo the Freeman are thrown into battle against Foreman Romero and the Mad Dwarves when Baffle the Living Keg and Tricky Dick came to the Station looking for sanctuary.
Even More Problems
Tony, Wumbo, and Bryan ran towards the open maintenance hatch. However, they were quickly alerted to a new issue."Captain, I might need some assistance. We’ve got multiple vessels out here careening towards the station." - Selvek the JudiciousBryan and Wumbo pivoted, running towards the hangar. Tony however was worried about Rowlthal's warning and ran to the maintenance hatch. He moved the table back to where it had been. The table crushed a small white crab-looking creature, killing it. Tony then navigated the short hall to find his compatriots. As they exited the dock and stepped outide, Bryan and Wumbo heard a crack. A small shoddy rectangular spelljammer had just slammed into the Brynalds Brigantine. Baffle the Living Keg and Tricky Dick climb out of their broken door and onto the dock, as their pursuers repel from above. The keg and the clown had been chased to the safety of the Station by two Dwarven mining rigs. With no other choice, the two groups collaborate to take out the threat posed by these insane miners. With precision the party took out each of the miners. Bryan slayed several with his signature long barreled pistol. Wumbo turned half of the attacking force into a fine mist with his trusty rival. Dick played a famous clown trick and sent a deadly balloon into the air, taking down two more miners, and his buddy Baffle leaped into the air to pummel another. The coast was clear until a strange mist unlike anything they’d ever seen appeared in front of the cargo door. Tony stepped closer to investigate, and narrowly avoided several more pickaxes. The thick pink mist was full of Mad Dwarves. This would be a trivial challenge the heroes thought, until the leader of the Mad Dwarves emerged. His skin was slimy and wet, his one eye pupiless and white, his hands just clusters of four tentacles, his ears were gone replaced by holes, and half of the skin on his face was gone, replaced with what appeared to be glass, exposing his muscles and skull. His missing eye is replaced by a pinkish glowing crystal. Strands of lavender colored slimy skin slowly grew up over the glass, and chunks of... brain matter lingered in his long silver Dwarven beard. This was Romero, the foreman of the Mad Dwarves' Quarry. He seemed to smile at them as his lips tore away from his face in four round folds that dropped down into his beard. He bared several small sharp teeth at the party. Pink energy swelled around the tentacle clusters on his arms as he brought them up to his temples. Romero immediately targeted an enlarged Tony Smith with a blast of psionic energy, incapacitating him. Tony's allies fought back against the deformed Dwarf, eventually overcoming his psionic powers and destroying him and his workforce.
