Leaders in the Community

The role of the tellurians is to lead their community in song. As a result of the respect afforded to this role, most of them also become leaders in others areas as well. It isn't uncommon to see tellurians go from singing at a ceremony to sitting at the bargaining table while the village trades their goods.

A Singer's Regalia

"There is no specific uniform for a tellurian but you can always identify them as the best dressed person there."

Each tellurian dresses in their own best outfit when they perform their duties. These outfits vary as much as the cultures - and climates - of the Forgers do. The similarities are in the quality - and the cleanliness - of each piece which often rivals that of the wealthiest people of the largest cities. Most also wear a united disc.

A Woman's Sky

Despite all the advances since the beginning of the Time of Exploration and the generations of young girls inspired by the adventures of Ryza the first skycaptain, there are few fields where women dominate the highest positions.
Tellurians are almost exclusively women - mostly sopranos at that - and while it is the third highest role within the Forgers, it is the one that grants the most respect.

"She will sing the first verse and we will repeat the tune back to her but with the second set of words."
