The Mountainhall

The Mountainhall is the lower, grown-over area of Acarletto.

Government

The Mountainhall is not properly policed by the guard of Acarletto above, instead dominated by the politics of various gangs and criminal organizations. The upper government has even openly admitted its priorities are to the scouts and the walls, warning citizens not to enter the Mountainhall.

Infrastructure

The Mountainhall is the original smaller city structure of Acarletto, before it became a citadel. It was more organized than the current makeup of Acarletto, but the original reasons for the design mean little to the current residents. The largest factories often have lower floors that connect with the Mountainhall. On the edge of the Mountainhall is a large abandoned rail shunting yard and train station. Hundreds of outdated cars, lacking the armor and weight efficiencies for long-distance travel through dangerous lands, sit unused in the shunting yard. These cars are often used as secret caches as they take a long time to search through all the locked cars. Nearly all of the Mountainhall lies permanently in the dark, covered up by decades of construction above it. There are old minecarts and narrow-gauge rails throughout the area connecting ancient depleted mines and foundries.
