Alan Marshlyn

The younger brother of Elder Harper Grace Marshlyn, Alan was always known as the more cunning and ruthless of the two siblings. Falling ill during The Great Plague of 1551, Alan went to his sister Harper hoping she would allow him to train her young son Calvin to be the next Lord Marshlyn. After first saying no, Harper finally agreed and Calvin soon came to live with Alan to start his training. 
Alan taught Calvin to be as cunning and ruthless as he was and many believe this may have been Alan's downfall. A few months after Calvin's 20th birthday, Alan left on a trip to meet with Kyraceus Buckham, but shortly after leaving his envoy disappeared. A week after it disappeared the envoy was found looted and destroyed at a nearby bandit camp. The body of Alan Marshlyn had been strung up and put on display for anyone approaching to see. It was the first ever reported issue of bandits in the Marshlyn province, and after this incident Calvin sent forces out and the bandits were disposed. Bandits were not a problem in the province again after this.
