    MT Presents Sweeney Todd
    Cultural event

In January of 2016, the Midnight Theatre holds auditions for Sweeney Todd.   Marek and Elle have been together for about a year and a half.   Bitch has just finished up touring with Chronicles of Cain and is back in town in time for auditions. She and Isaac are still seeing each other, though their relationship is very precarious.   Kat had been attending SUNY at New Paltz, but failed out of her classes due to a severe depressive episode. During that episode, Marek recognized her as a kindred spirit and started working with her at the theater, eventually pulling her out of her slump and giving her a job at the theater. She practically lives at the theater when she’s not taking classes at Duchess Community College. She’s known for her dancing, her bitchy attitude, and her preference for heights.   Marek hires Hunter to direct music and sound design.   Simon is a known quantity among the Carnies as well, best known for his vocal flexibility and his chameleon-like ability to play almost any part. He’s taking singing and performing arts classes at Vassar but doesn’t want anyone know about it.   His friend, Nathan Alexander is new in town and attending SUNY-New Paltz. He’s something of a baseball star, having single-handedly revived their failing baseball team. Surprisingly enough, Nathan also went to high school with Kat, who loathes him.   Kat is also championing a friend of hers from DCC, Rose Baxter to be the next Mrs. Lovette.
