Throwing Shoes
The practice of throwing a shoe down a hallway and throwing its mate in the opposite direction is a folk-spell for repelling and protecting against Hags.

Material Components
A pair of shoes. Any two shoes can be considered a pair in a pinch, but paired shoes work best.
Gestures & Ritual
The caster throws a shoe as hard as they can in one direction from the doorway which they wish to protect. Once the first shoe has landed, the second shoe is thrown in the opposite direction. This can be repeated for as many shoes as necessary for the level of protection required. Some variations on the spell include an incantation along the lines of "No more nightmares" or "No more bad dreams."
