Eira begins weaving mortals into a magically fueled game of Truth or Dare.
During a Christmas party in 1890, one of the male guests to the Bellona estate attempted to rape the owner's daughter, Fiona. So incensed was the daughter's lover, Eira, that she cursed the house and the people in it to forever be entangled in a game of Bellona's Waltz. The only person she exempted from this curse was her lover, who escaped unscathed.
The original captured six were the owner of the property, Jonathan Shriver and his wife, Belle and their daughter, Emily; Charles "Charlie" South (who attempted to rape Fiona) and his brother, John; and Clara Brown, a friend of Fiona's from school.
- John South - dared to pierce five fingers with a needle within five minutes. Refused and choked suddenly on sewing needles forced down his throat.
- Jonathan Shriver - asked if he was confident that Emily was his daughter; lied and was killed by a falling chandelier.
