Hit: 8 ( 2d4+3 ) Slashing Damage. Acid Spray (Recharge 6). The ankheg spits acid in a line that is 30 feet long and 5 feet wide, provided that it has no creature grappled. Each creature in that line must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 ( 3d6 ) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Legendary Actions
The ankheg can take 3 epic actions, choosing from the options below. Only one epic action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's Turn. The ankheg regains spent epic actions at the start of its turn. Claw Attack. The ankheg makes one claw attack. Burrow (Costs 2 Actions). The ankheg digs underground and moves up to 20 feet, carrying any creatures or objects it is holding. It can choose to remain underground, or reemerge in an unoccupied space it can see. While underground, it can use bite attacks on creatures above it before retreating back underground. If the target is grappled, it can drag the target underground with it after using Burrow. Acid Eruption (Costs 3 Actions). If the ankheg is underground, it can erupt out of the earth while spouting an explosion of acid. Each creature in within 10 feet must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 ( 3d6 ) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. After using Acid Eruption, the ankheg must remain above ground until its next Turn.
