Sarah Ainsley
Sarah Ainsley is an orphan from the city of Wenona in Vespmar. Growing up in an orphanage run by an ex-member of the Matriarchs of Morwyn, Sarah has become a thief, despite the teachings of her caretaker.
At 14 years of age she joined and has only faltered in her job twice. She was given a contract to disrupt a royal lineage, which she accepted without a second thought, but it was when she found the young noble that she realized she was tasked to kill a 6 year old boy, so she refused, she still refuses to kill children.
The second faltering was almost her last. She was given a contract to kill a heavily guarded merchant lord outside of Paramenthia - nothing she hasn't dealt with before and this should have been an easy mark. It was only after she had slit the throat of the merchant lord that she noticed the archer. The alarms were raised and Sarah took an arrow to the stomach. She just managed to get out of the camp and onto the road when she ran into Prorex Liam Galanis on his horse. Sarah took advantage of the young lord's naivete and told him that she was attacked by bandits. They rode together to the Evertree Inn where Liam healed her injury. Sarah could tell that Liam was already infatuated with her beauty and could have easily just knocked him out and robbed him of his belongings then and there, but she felt grateful for him rescuing her and she was happy to play the part of 'damsel'. They spent the night in that room with Liam guarding the door like a good guard dog and Sarah taking full advantage of this opportunity to get real sleep. Sarah awoke the next morning to find that the guards from the merchant camp had arrived at the inn looking for her.
Sarah then wrote a quick note for Liam and kissed it before leaving through the window to the back and sneaking to the stables. She stole Liam's horse and used it to ride away past the guards. Almost a week later she encountered Liam again on the road. She was surprised that he wasn't mad about her taking his horse and doubly so that he didn't try to turn her in. They have continued to run into each other where they are almost always on opposite sides of any problem but they have never been hostile to each other. Even in the most divided of times Sarah will gladly take advantage of Liam's feelings for her so that she is able to get away with what she wants, but time and time again with this working, she has started to feel something for Liam and she has on rare occasion acted out of her nature in a positive way for the young lion.
