The Rella Family
Regal, passionate, elegant, and gregarious. The Rella family is odd when compared to the other noble houses, as the family has made massive amounts of wealth trading in imports, but they are not tied to Clarathos as much as the other families. The Rella's have a Vespmaran sense of grace and have combined it with Aduran hospitality and diplomacy.
Originally from the dark town of Galway, the Rella family made their fortune in trade by connecting trade routes between Vespmar, Northland, and Mercercle. Arnold Rella chose to move the family to Clarathos as they had no foothold in Adura. They have spent almost four generations building up their trade routes and ingratiating themselves with the people of Clarathos, particularly the upper crust - most young Rella heirs have been betrothed since birth, strengthening the family's bonds to those of the other powerful families. The lucky ones marry other Clarathos heirs. Those that fail to impress are used as bargaining chips in trade deals with Cystilian or Ducercle merchants, since the most that their spouses-to-be normally know of their Rella spouse is their appearance, and the Rellas are blessed with supremely elegant and beautiful faces. There are whispers of both fiendish and celestial meddling that gave them their beauty, but there is little substantiating this claim.
