Personal history

Born in Lorelle, into a upper-middle class family, Lillian Veraci studied to become a botanist, specializing in lyniettie studies.  She became close friends with Vanna through their similar courses of study, and worked with her to test and rediscover old and unusual lyniettie techniques.  Lillian continued to work with Vanna until Vanna split away from the royal family and began her rebellion, using shadowwort to force others to do her will.  Instead of continuing her research, Lillian used her knowledge and studies to begin teaching at the Royal Academy, where she eventually tutored Nix and Melody .
