Personal history

Melody was born shortly after the turning point of Vanna 's first rebellion.  Since Vanna was captured shortly afterward, and Melody was not a main target of Vanna's attacks, she was not sent away, unlike Nix, her cousin.  Melody lived a fairly normal life for a young woman in the Lorellian court until Nix returned to Lorelle, and Vanna attacked a second time.  Melody's parents were captured by Vanna for use as pawns and she and Nix escaped to live with Lillian until they could confront Vanna.
