Drago feels he's been trapped inside longer than he actually was, events passing within seem nonlinear. Sunday, 16 Gozran 4711 AR
Left Feldgrau at 4.30p and stayed the night in Drago's chalet… Moonday, 17 Gozran 4711 AR, Full Moon (the Flood Moon)
The Fellowship gets caught in a rainstorm, eventually coming across a road. Following it leads to an old man in his 70s-80's with a long, scraggly beard, sitting next to a large boulder, dressed in simple traveler's cloths, holding a cane and a messenger bag. Kelath calls him out and the rain dissipates as he stands. He says his name is Hedgerow Hob and has been waiting with a message for the Fellowship. Hob has the stench of sour milk about him, but he does not detect as evil. Says he was given a letter by Half Penny in Carrion Hill to deliver.
Nyrrk's words would seem to echo out, "If we were sensible, we would seek death…"
While talking to Hob, the group learns of an asylum in Carrion Hill. Kyrrn freaks after hearing about Dr. Crove's asylum and attempts to run off. Drago pursues her, but she is stopped by Nyrrk, who tells Drago to give Dr. Crove his regards.

Once in Carrion Hill, the city guards, Codrian and Tamas, petition the group to join the city's guard, the Crows. Kyrrn recalls that they have heard previously the Mayor Heggry has been dealing with murders in the town. They are taken to a manor made out of different stone than the nearly universal middenstone. The original Fellows realize they have previous met him at Professor Petros Lorrimor's funeral. The mayor says things have been coming out of tunnels beneath the town and killing people, hasn't been seen. It has surfaced three times so far, crushing buildings and killing all present, leaving stinking slime…
