Elm Way Church
Determined to finally take the offensive, the surviving Fellowship approaches the Elm Way Church, abandoned church of Aroden and haven of Keeper Arlend Hyve . Finding no signs of life within the Church, they make their way through a trap door into a cavern sprawled with alchemical stations. While they begin their search, Hyve, wearing a gag, attacks from the shadows, flinging a vial at Kyrrn but also appearing simultaneously behind Kelath. Hyve 1 runs south with Drago in pursuit while Kelath and Kyrrn corner and press Hyve 2. Hyve 1 jumps into a pool of water and Drago opens a portal to his chateau in effort to capture him, but is unsuccessful. As Drago attempts to follow Hyve 1 he is suddenly attacked by a violet fungus. As it fills his body with debilitating poison, Hyve 1 appears and drives Drago to the ground. The fungus turns its indiscriminate focus to the Keeper who finally flees back into the water. Kyrrn leaves Kelath to look after Hyve 2 and quickly sets off to find Drago. Upon seeing Drago, she remotely grabs him and drops her dark gravity behind them as they withdraw to insure Hyve 1 does not follow. After battering down Hyve 2, Kelath and Kyrrn leave with him and Drago in tow to make their way back to the Mayor's manor. 6.00a
Mayor's Manor
The captured Hyve has very little in the way of possessions, but has one flask of liquid on a bandoleer. The runes on his gag seem to be something out of the Pnakotic Manuscript . He is sweating, but it is cold and tasteless, which leads the party to conclude that he is a simulacrum. The city of Magnimar are well-known for their golemworks, some said to be made from ice. Removing the gag shows that its mouth had been sewn crudely shut with gut string. Toll, the Mayor's remaining protector, agrees to assist the Fellowship and is outfitted with upgraded equipment. Drago has a dream about fencing with a young Professor Lorrimor with Chateau Ryer in the distance, and sees Neferu's body floating on a river of silver. Something drags him from the river into a tree and then a man wearing white robes that is falling through a black void who stops suddenly in midair and has his robes ripped off, runes begin to brand themselves into his back.. 10.00a
Kyrrn wakes up after only four hours of sleep and is completely rested. Drago is also awake and healed. She too tells of a dream vision of Neferu where he is floating down on a river on his back, possibly through the Boneyard. A young man in a black robe shows up saying the group needs to get to the church about Neferu. Leads to the catacombs to a small underground chapel where there is an altar on a stone pedestal, where there is Professor Petros Lorrimor, but with stretched, drawn features. His physical appearance reminds a bit of the Unworthy Soul's characteristics. Kyrrn is not able to pick up his thoughts, not devoid, she is just unable to read them. However they are apparently able to converse in Aklo, that strange aberrant tongue. 10.30a
Rupman's Vats
The revitalized Fellowship travels to the source of Carrion Hill's middenstone and suspected hideout of the Keepers of the Oldest's other remaining member, Rupman Myre. It is a 40 ft. high single story building on the banks the river with three huge chimney's belching smoke, and single main entrance. The entire structure is made from middenstone and wooden frames. Drago creates a gate through the wall of the structure. Chains and pulleys hang from the ceiling and into pits of boiling cauldrons where undead workers shovel in watery mix of roaches. They see something like a draconian figure in the rafters and a leather curtain which covers the back of the warehouse. Moving the curtain aside reveals a drunk Keeper Myre who shrieks like a girl. Several zombies begin attacking by throwing pieces of themselves at the group. A black dragon begins to move above them and a massive roar begins beneath…
