Session 5 - Maslenitsa on the Rampage

General Summary

The party went back to their home town of Aleksandrovka, and Lada and Vashti had a conversation about disguises to remain unobtrusive. Lada also met Dasha  - the lady Amadeo has been avoiding, so that he can continue to avoid certain obligations. When the the town met for pancakes and gossip during this week of celebration, an effigy was created to be burned to herald the winter. However, the effigy started floating and attacking the townsfolk with clawed hands, killing one, and tried to burn the icon of the St. Aleksandr convent. After arriving on the scene, Ivan fended the creature off with his cudgel and then sets it on fire. Ultimately, the creature is consumed, but not before nearly burning down the convent, and seriously wounding Irina.
The town also started flinging accusations at the abbey, withAnna - the wife of the potter speaking a secret of the Mother Superior "that she was the mother of the blacksmith, and that she would not(or would have to) execute her own son."
With the party tired and now realizing the scope of what finding the blacksmith might entail, they went to rest before the last day of the week of celebration. The party met at Lada's house to prepare to leave, when Amadeo explained he would not travel with them, as his family business was too urgent. But there is still the question; will Lada learn of any unborn children left by Amadeo? Or will she she need to lie to the father? And what will be found in Vlasovo - the pagan town the party wants to search in to find the blacksmith?
