Sister Evdokia (Sister Yev*doh*KEE*yah)

Sister Evokia is in effect the second-in-command of the St. Aleksandr convent in Aleksandrovka. She is the Holder of Keys, and in charge of the convent orphanage. Since Hegumenia Marfa went blind, she runs the day-to-day affairs at the convent, though she still consults the Mother Superior regularly (especially during the hour when Marfa suspends her vow of silence).
Evdokia is young, sharp, energetic, and dedicated, although she is but a small thing in black habits. To impress Marfa, she makes sure that the nuns and their dependents observe all prayer times, and maintain a neat appearance. She regulates the all activities according to the Writ (or at least her understanding of it), and despite being a bit on the preachy side, she is very protective of all the inmates of the convent.
