The Flipped Hourglass Inn
Upon entering The Flipped Hour Glass Inn, guests are immediately struck by the inn’s most defining feature: a giant hourglass standing in the center of the lobby. This hourglass is no ordinary timepiece. It is a massive, towering structure, nearly 15 feet tall, with a delicate balance of flowing sand that seems to glow faintly with magical light. The hourglass is encased in a frame of dark, polished wood with golden accents, and the sand within shimmers in shades of gold and silver. The hourglass is enchanted, constantly flipping on its own, creating a mesmerizing spectacle as the grains cascade from one end to the other, seemingly defying the passage of time.
The lobby itself is spacious and inviting, with high ceilings supported by intricately carved wooden beams. The floor is a mosaic of smooth stone tiles, arranged in patterns that mimic the swirling winds of the desert. Rich tapestries depicting scenes of Jutvale and the Xilian Desert adorn the walls, adding warmth and color to the space.
