Personal history
The missuse of magic was prevelant in the early years of Maeon. Ancient mages used their crafts of arcane might to cover the entire world with a massive superstorm. This would cause the earth to shake, lighting to strike, and waters rise. all while powerful winds would cut stone and lift up Tree's. This would be dubbed The Great Tempest by the early peoples of maeon, the event forcing them into caves to avoid perishing. Eventually the sides of a great mountain would begin to get carved into the shape of a powerful humanoid, Lighting would strike at this construct as the Great Tempest would be sucked into its being. As the world was calm once more, a new god would be awakened. Jotnar would work quick to maintain order, crafting children from the elements that created himself. He would use Volcanos, Clouds, Hills, Ice, and Even the Sea itself to form his children. They would be dubbed Giants by the Ancestries of Maeon and were a force to be feared.
