Kasper Geist

I’ve always been the weird one, and I guess I always will be, but it’s different when you know more ‘weird ones’, and when you know your weirdness has a legacy. I guess it does make it feel less ‘weird’ and more ‘special’, you know?

Kasper and his twin, Danai have only recently become agents and, despite being born with supernatural abilities, are still new to magiontology and magic in general. Kasper's features show his biracial heritage, but his albino-like coloring can confuse people at first. His skin is nearly pure white, his hair grows bright white and his eyes have a mid-grey tone with no trace of color. His hair is styled in a mohawk that is usually vibrantly colored, in part to negate his own lack of color, but mostly because he likes the aesthetics.
Kasper is not a born albino. He had the same dark coloring as his twin, but when he was 10 his appearance changed during what can be described as an extreme spirit encounter, which, as he puts it, "drained his color." Kasper and Danai, are not aware of any magic-folk ancestry in their family, but they were born with spirit perception abilities. Kasper's abilities are particularly strong, and he is considered a powerful Channeler, able to sense, communicate and bond with spirits in the form of possession. Even as a child, Kasper did his best to help spirits if the needed it, much to the chagrin of Danai that often felt it was too dangerous (but always gave in because - adventure!).
Kasper was always the quiet one of the twins, with the extrovert Danai an extreme opposite, but became more reserved and shy over the years. He is very friendly by nature, but as a child he would sometimes realize too late that the person he struck a conversation with is a spirit, visible only to him. His current appearance attracts attention, but very little of the conversation it sparks is directed to him. He is very aware of the whispering around him, and the first few years after his change were particularly hard. It was the main reason for the family's moving from Germany, where he was born, to the United States, his mother's homeland. The move was in large part because both parents and children felt homeschooling is the best option for them, but it was not really possible in Germany. Growing up, Kasper remained reserved, but learned to accept his disparity and even embrace it.
Kasper and his sister were invited to become Magiontology Society agents after a chance meeting with Griffin and Mabyn during which Kasper's abilities became evident. Kasper was excited with the idea of magical beings, and also felt immediate affinity towards Griffin, who indeed become his close friend. Joining the Society and becoming an agent was a unique opportunity to learn more about his abilities and understand them better. And perhaps more importantly for him, its mission of aid and study fits well with his personality and inner drive to help others (be they alive or dead).
