Mixturidae
Mixturidae comes from the Latin mixture, meaning, well – 'mixture'. Magions in this group are what we often call a chimera, their physic combines elements that seemingly don’t belong together. Some magions in this group find the name ‘mixturidae’ rather offensive, as it suggests that they are an odd mix of mismatched parts (which is indeed how many see them). Some even suggested to change the name of the group to ‘sumidae’, from the Latin ‘summa’, to stress the fact that they are complete beings. However, other magions in the group argued that being whole or complete is true to all living beings, and that their ability to combine supposedly alien elements is what makes the mixturidae unique. The debate continues, but at the moment the term mixturidae is kept as the majority of the group members are comfortable with it.
