Pederssen, Karl Elias

Human (non magical), 1863-1931.

Swedish magiontologist, grandson of Göran Elias Pederssen (1805-1890).
Known primarily for his involvement with the Magiontology Circle (1889-1892). He served as the second secretary of the Circle, succeeding John Shackley who became president in 1890. Shortly after, Idris approached Karl with concerns that members of the Circle are attempting Parasitical Magic. These concerns were never fully confirmed, but led to the dissolution of the Circle in January 1892. Karl, who was deeply concerned that his grandfather's legacy will be tarnished, was one of the main voices calling to disband the Circle. His dedication earned him the respect of magions and magic-folk alike, which enabled him to keep his relationship with the magical community and continue his magiontology research.
As a sholar, his focus was on insectoid Squamidae. He is particularly known for his study of the Scarabaeus hypnoticus and their domestication. His comperative study of their habitat conditions preferences in domestication and in the wild proved especially benefitial.
