Chardelyn

Chardelyn is an ore found in Kalte .  It presents as an amber colored glasslike substance, but when heated it can be smelted and worked into material as hard as steel.  When discovered, it is usually laced in black vein like structures throughout the material.

Chardelyn was created and then distributed via the explosion of a shadow gate at Ikaya, the Ice Fortress in MS 5090.  The explosion of magical and planar energies laced through the ores of surrounding mountain, creating Chardalyn and distributing it across Kalte .

Chardelyn is known to hold magical power that may be tapped to work into magical items where chardelyn may be involved in the construction.
