Vassan Language

The language of Vassagonia is a highly structured language. The vocabulary of the vassagonian language is formulaic and precise. Words (in particular, verbs) are built around a framework of letters—usually three, occasionally two. Because of this, new words can easily be built, with the foundation of their meaning already in place. For example, K-T-B is a root having to do with reading and writing. The word kitáb means book.

Vassan has a rich sacred-word tradition. Through this, over time, much metaphor and symbolism has evolved around the words; that is, each word has a whole sphere of meaning across time and space.

Vassan has, perhaps with more success than others, evolved a writing system at once elegant, complex, and economical.
