Beginning on April 22, the Kicoka begin to send representatives ashore near the major settlements along the coast of Northern Sommerlund. Over days, they send parties of 6 ashore at Barbeach, Amber Bay, and Mateston. Each group carries copies of an old treaty made between the Kicoka and Sommlending representatives. Given the Kicoka 's inability to speak Sommlending, each party is treated with violence and they retreat back into the sea. The incursion at Amber Bay results in a number of citizens being taken captive.
On April 27, SAG Team #7 executes a rescue mission and recovers all of the kidnapped citizens of Amber Bay . The recovery is carried out without bloodshed on either side. This leads the Kicoka to determine that it may be possible to negotiate at Amber Bay .
SAG Team #7 reach out to Nelzim and enlist the aid of Yergin from Mateston. Together, they open discussion s with the Kicoka and discover that the incursions have actually been attempts to call upon @Sommerlund for aid, according to the old treaty.
SAG Team #7 join a task force of Kicoka , including Maktok and Aktok and clear the Merau from their ancestral home on May 7, MS 5090.
No one ever discovered what had driven the Merau into the Kicoka territory.
