A majority of the dwarves of Kag Bhurim would leave their isolated city of Dul Kag to seek out a fresh start in the growing city of New Derth .

When news came of dwarves from Hiskalon across the Ocean of Aber moving into The Chisel Peaks, the dwarves of Dul Kag grew restless. After five centuries bundled into Thjoldmondr, many sought the glories that their parents and grandparents had spoken of. Two Generations had grown up within the mountain. While the establishment of New Derth had been meant as a new start for the eastern Storm Broken Lands, many dwarves of Dul Kag saw it as a new start for them in particular. In a time of political tumult, over 60% of the dwarves of Kag Bhurim formed an exodus of the ancestral lands in a march down to Chisel Peaks to start anew. The Exodus occurred in 48 AC and was lead by Sidmeabo Belloword, Priest of Moradin.
