The Iron Wolves are enlightened to the greater context behind their recent actions and find themselves with only a few days before they are put in the spotlight.

While the party was still in harbor, news had reach the Bifulco estate and Peter Fulcman had brought the carriage to collect. Back in the estate, they were first presented to Ladore Aldarina in a side office going through a stack of stationary in a job not necessarily fit for his talents. The elf informed the party of the missing details to their suspicions. Gregor had known Captain Doga to be a military diplomat. People whispered his title of being the Culture Closer and how he got native communities to agree to deals they absolutely shouldn't have. What Aldarina confirmed was that many of these diplomatic coercions had been part of a few different nobles person meddlings into military affairs and were not sanctioned. Captain Doga had, under orders he should have refused, committed war crimes. He never returned to Phaloxil as he would would be both the scapegoat for the entire conspiracy.
With these revelations provided to the Iron Wolves by Aldarina, they then went into their evening meeting with the Marquis Bifulco with a greater understanding of what they had just done. The Iron Wolves' success of bringing back Captain Ira Doga into Custody, Phaloxil had caused quite a buzz. Entering int the Marquis' office, congratulations and strategizing mixed. The Marquis Bifulco immediately snapped at the opportunity to utilize the adventurers' fortune to leverage further opportunities. It became known that by the time the Iron Wolves had made it to the estate, the Marquis already had Aldarina working on a list of guests for a gala in two days. During these conversations, the Marquis dropped a glass of wine from a minorly trembling hand. The Iron Wolves were given access to a tab at clothier's and haberdashers in preparation for the gala. While Aldarina silently excused himself to from the room and returned with some vials, Daniel prestidigitated the stain away.
With a day to kill while clothes were being made and the party to come, our heroes all broke apart to attempt their own endeavers. Daniel managed to catch up with their old friend as well as produce some more cards to sell at the gala. Kain attempted to get a day of training for sailing down at the docks but almost got pulled into a month long voyage. Gregor spent the day barhopping, telling of the Iron Wolves adventures and hyping up their fame. Zeran spent the day walking through Vecchia, Midbrid, and Nuova to get a sense of the people. He witnessed not only the crowded upper level of Midbrid but got a sneak peak of the rafts constructed below the decks. During this, he began to see the complexities of the the society, not only a class structures but also one of willingness. Some people chose to live within the three coastal townships while others seemed to be stuck there due to means as well as manners. Whether they had the money or opportunity to leave, some stayed because it was all they ever knew.
Finally, Lyle. Lyle was on a hunt for a date for the Gala. Who better to ask than the Archmage Vulpenop herself? Getting two leads on where to find magic people, he first choose to pursue the Chroniker. Approaching the stone tower within the commons green, he found no door upon the outside, just stonework. He then decided to knock on on the wall until noticed. Noticed he was after 5 minutes. A flash of light sent him dropping into the Ombul River to the north. Returning soaking wet, he witnessed a small gathering of laborers and shepherds to watch him. The druid wildshaped into a spider to crawl up the tower but upon making contact, another flash of white light left him tumbling down into the salty ocean along the docks. Furious, he returned tower once again. The time it took for Lyle to cross the districts once more gave the onlookers time to grow into a crowd that prodded the druid on from a distance to touch the tower again. Deciding that that wasn't a good idea, he instead turned into a sheep to baa at the tower from a distance. In time, a grinding of stone from the far side of the tower revealed a doorway to have opened. Stepping out into it was a gigantic stone golem. As lyle attempted to come forth, a magic mother emerged across the torso to emit an old mans voice demanding “What outer plane do you wish to be transported so I can send you to the opposite.” Lyle tried questioning about Vulpenop but no magical message had been set for that instigation. Lyle shouted back to the crowd for information to learn that the Chroniker belonged to a Dominus Porta, not Vulpenop.
Not one to be disheartened, Lyle then found his way to his second location, the Starsight Planetarium, a temple of Selune the Moon Maiden. Lyle questioned a priest there for Vulpenop. The priest denied her presence but admitted that the archmage did work with the temple for particular duties. Lyle lied about needing to contact her about secret information about the harbor the day before and the priests immediately went about contacting the archmage and establishing a place of magical seclusion for the discussion. As a veil of stars was conjured around a side alcove of the temple, Vulpenop stepped through the temple entryway. Lyle took his shot but was unfortunately shot down. Vulpenop already had a date for the next day. Vulpenops date had only just been set up as the person she was meeting with was in regards to the Doga situation itself. Not to have all the wind taken from his sails, the druid got permission to ask again in the future. Not wanting to give out anything to let Lyle directly contact her, Vulpenop gave the man a daisy to wear behind his ear the next time the party made waves in Phaloxil as big as they did when they brought in Doga.
