The Iron Wolves escort the herbalist Ladore Aldarina back to Phaloxil and meet with his employer the Marquis Bifulco. The Iron Wolves make a deal with the Marquis that will be sending them back to Agate Cay for the retrieval of Daniel's tome and the purging of pirates.

Completing the first part of their contract, the Iron Wolves had aided in the retrieval of Yellow Musk Flower taproot. Now, they had to safely accompany Aldarina back to Phaloxil to claim their reward.   Time at Trade Fork was limited to a single night before continuing North for three days to Phaloxil, Aldarina once more taking possession of the carriage. Upon the second night, Peter Fulcman snuck through camp learing over each individual to see if they were awake as Zeran watched. Only after the man began to skulk away did Zeran show his awareness, spooking him and jarring him enough to reveal concern for Aldarina. Peter had never seen Aldarina to be someone to give up the comforts and power of the carriage to another and he was using the dead of night to fish for information as there was no other time he could be sure the elvish man couldn't overhear him.   Eventual arrival in Phaloxil led the party to the Bifulco Estate and the audience of the Marquis himself. The revelations of pirates operating from Agate Cay was notable. While the Iron Wolves had served the Marquis well in-proxy through the task he had given Aldarina, the Marquis was not immediately jumping on the opportunity to fully utilize them. Noting the loss of Daniels spell tome, the Marquis was convinced to help the party retrieve it with the additional task of dealing with the pirates upon the island. The Bifulco family's major influence in the city was the development of messenger Hawks for the military. Pulling on these ties, the Marquis would be negotiating use of a fast ship to return the Iron Wolves to Agate Key with haste. The adventurers were instructed to take the pirates captive for trial if their operation is one of significance. If insignificant and inconvenient, simple disposal would do.   The Marquis had Aldarina acquire a number of scrolls for Daniel to supplement his hamstrung state. Gregor used his military rank to acquire a long bow while Zeran and Kain shopped for ranged weaponry learning from their harpy fight. Lyle convinced rodents to harass Aldarina (probably the most impoartant task of all). With Daniel stopping by Alice's Alchemies to check in and make purchases, the party finished their preparations for another voyage by ship in the morning.
