The Iron Wolves pursue leads on the identity of Lyle's evening escapade from the night before.

The next morning, the Iron Wolves took their one free day before Gregor's Depostion to attempt to locate either the imposter servant or the carriage and driver from the night before. Gregor attempted to go through the bars with a description of the servant but found no leads. He couldn't remember the mans name and his description did nothing among the bars as he wasn't a regular. Turns out he was attending simply to listen to the stories in preparation for the gala. The second line proved fruitful though. Lyle conjured up some goodberries and used them to persuade animals throughout the fields from mice and groundhogs to birds and bees to inform him of the first carriage's passage to the south into and through Vecchia. Zeran did quite the analysis of wheelmarks, splashes, and trailings to continue that passage through Midbrid and into Nuova. Kane's core bounty hunter skills of searching around and peeping places he shouldn't proved that you can't find a carriage someplace it isn't. At this pointthe night was approaching and you still had nothing solid. Daniel leaned on their experience of the city, Nuova's design compared to the others, and used their tactics to estimate the most inclined path leading out of Nuova. There among the countryside, Kain's tactics kicked in as the Iron Wolves found a rickety small barn to act as housing for their desired black carriage. Nice enough to stroll up to the gala, just old enough a discreet enough to have no definite markings.
Gregor pulled the lock's shackle free of it's hous and the party slinked inside. Opening the carriage door, the party found a simple, squared cardstock box on the back bench. Very much like a cake box. Daniel cleared it of magic and Zeran of physical traps. Kain blew the top off with his telekinesis causing a card hanging on the underside of the lid to go blasting off. Within the box was a fine hard wheel of cheese. Kain reached through the carriage to grab the card. Inscribed inside where the words “We Tried to Play nice. Now you get to choose how this goes down. Limit what you say or Else”. Zeran stepped outside to see if anyone was around but missed the glint of a spyglass from a Nuova rooftop.
Threat acquired, that only pushed the party onward. Lyle wildshaped into a wolf, got the scent from the front seat, and followed the scent back north around the outskirts of Nuova up to the Ombul River and towards Midbrid. No sooner did the part get under the the rafters than a man stepped out from behind a pillar. Bent nose, Scar infront of right ear, and sensory match for Lyle. The man was impressed. Gregor convinced the man that the party still wanted to hear him out. The man kept it simple with all possible payment based on future outcomes. The Iron Wolves had hesitated so no initial trust was being offered pre-trial. His employer was siding with the city of phaloxil in the prosecution of Ira Doga. He meerly requested that Gregor not say anything emotional within his hearing. Don't win Doga any sympathy. The War criminal deserved what was coming to him and the city was safest with a judges decision being as permanent as possible. The scarred man then turned to go. Within the information conveyed, he needed no decision from the Party. The Outcome of the Court hearing would determine the need for reward. Kain went to mark the man but Gregor stopped him, not wanting to spark anything. They were under Midbrid at a illicit meeting at midnight.
On the party's journey back to the inn, Kain disposed of the letter. After furthing planning at the inn, Kain went back to retrieve the disposed of letter. While he feared they may use it as a divination bug, he would simply stay separate from the party. The threat letter was more useful to them as evidence for Gregor.
