Manufacturing process
Fjellbryter's blade was smithed by Murdaeg Gamduson, while its hilt and sheath were crafted by Fargrim Thorinson.
History
Fjellbryter was forged by Murdaeg Gamduson in the forge of Fargrim Thorinson. It was given, along with a matching sheath comissioned by Fargrim, as a gift to Gunnar Thorson, Alle of the Hirð of Jarl Asger.
Gunnar earned the right for Murdaeg to use the Patriarch's forge by invoking the Rite of Sigin-tarâg and besting Fargrim in a three hour rock smashing competition. Its name, meaning "Breaker of Mountains" marks Gunnar's victory in this contest.
